Clear drawings and application requirements make the manufacturing review more useful.
What should I send for a quote?
Send a 3D model and dimensioned drawing when available, drawing revision, material or performance requirements, quantities, color, finish and critical dimensions.
Which file formats can I upload?
The website accepts PDF, JPG, PNG and ZIP, up to five files and 50 MB per file. Put STEP/STP, IGES or X_T CAD files in a ZIP archive. Files can also be emailed to info@bfymold.com.
Do you offer mold design and mold making together?
We can review part manufacturability, mold design, tool manufacturing, trials and injection molding as connected stages. Agree the scope and approval milestones for the project.
What injection molding equipment do you have?
Our current injection molding equipment consists of 11 machines from 150–500T. Part geometry, projected area, resin and mold compatibility still need review.
Is there a fixed minimum order quantity?
The practical quantity depends on the part, resin, tooling investment and expected demand. Share the first order and likely repeat quantities so the route can be reviewed.
How are lead times confirmed?
Timing depends on design readiness, material, tooling complexity, trials, finishing, quantity and inspection. The schedule is agreed after requirements are reviewed.
Can you work with an existing mold?
Provide mold information, condition, intended resin and recent samples when available. Machine compatibility and the required part specification must be assessed.
How are samples approved?
Agree the drawing revision, critical dimensions, appearance, material and inspection criteria. Confirm the sample acceptance process before the approved production run.
Can insert molding or overmolding be considered?
Yes, these processes can be reviewed for suitable projects. Provide insert or substrate drawings, material grades, retention or bonding requirements and quantities.
How should confidentiality requirements be handled?
Include any required confidentiality agreement with the enquiry so the document and file-sharing requirements can be discussed before detailed information is exchanged.
